Young Artist Series: Introduction to Glass Art

Teens ages 12 - 18 will have fun exploring the various techniques and versatility of glass art. In this 2 day workshop, students will explore the amazing world of kiln-formed glass art by utilizing clear and colored flat glass and recycled art glass. Additionally, students will learn torch and lamp working combining various tools and techniques. Learn more about the process of designing, cutting, melting, and kiln-forming the glass...then annealing your finished pieces. Students will walk away with art works in the form of suncatchers, coasters, jewelry, beads and small sculptures. A mid class snack and all supplies provided.
