Photography: Intro to Double Exposure and Surrealist Photography

This event is no longer on sale.

Saturday April 1

10:00 AM  –  1:00 PM

Interested in taking your photography to another level? In this workshop, students will experience hands-on lighting tutorials, learn how to sit for photos and the basics of utilizing a DSLR camera in a studio space to shoot portraits. Students will intentionally light and sit for a portrait, then transfer that image to the Museum iPads or their personal laptop. Using a photo editing software, students will blend their portraits with a landscape image to create a double exposure photograph. In addition, students will learn the basic photo editing tools and blending techniques as they create a double exposure portrait of themselves and take home a file that is ready to print!

*Feel free to bring your laptop with a photo editing program. Gimp is a free downloadable program you can find on the internet which will be the program we will be using on our iPads.
