Ott explores the American West in his recent work, “Westward Contraction: Maynard Dixon Paints the Great Depression.” A scholar and specialist in American Art, John Ott, earned his PhD at UCLA in 2002, and is a Professor of Art History at James Madison University.  Join us for a conversation that links the artistic, social, historical, and geographic themes in the works of Maynard Dixon.
