An Inspiration to Create Art: Climate Change and the Environment

This event is no longer on sale.

Friday June 9

12:00 PM  –  1:00 PM

Local photographer and educator Nolan Preece uses experimental photographic processes to reflect his involvement with environmental activism. Beginning as a field photographer for environmental impact studies, Preece has spent the last 40 years exploring and creating one of a kind works of art that blend the physics of painting and printmaking with the chemistry of photography.  His chemigram landscapes resemble the textures, colors, and shapes of the Nevada desert he calls home. Join Preece for an intimate conversation exploring how climate change and the environment can inspire and inform art and photography.

Support for the Art Bite series comes from Nevada Arts Council and Nevada Humanities & the National Endowment for the Humanities.
